It is understood that especially during a sacrament year, it is imperative that children/youth faithfully attend Faith Formation in order to be ready to receive the Sacraments of Initiation. If this presents a hardship, please speak to Mrs Parente.
If, for some reason your child/youth fails to attend all of the pre-required sessions or complete the make up work or make use of our virtual classroom, the child /youth may not be ready to receive the Sacraments of Initiation until the following year and/or all prerequisites have been met.
All of our volunteers are parents or grandparents within our parish. All of them give freely of their time. All of them are here to share God’s love.
In a case of a child being rude or disrespectful of his or her teachers and/or classmates, the child will be sent to Mrs. Parente. If, after speaking with
Mrs. Parente the behavior continues, parents will be invited in to help find a solution.
Jesus was the originator of “no child left behind.” We at St John the Baptist Faith Formation will work with you and your child, and do our best to provide for the needs of their body and soul!
If your child has a special need and hasn’t received the Sacraments of Initiation yet, please call or email Mrs. Parente at 518-966-8317 or stjohnffo@gmail,com
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany has a Special Needs Specialist who can also help us find resources and give support :-)
